PGR - Welcome Home Echo Company 2/23rd Marines of San Bruno, Ca.

Pics are from top to bottom, click on a pic for a larger pic, text for a pic is under the pic.

The Marines were coming home to San Bruno and PGR was asked to provide escort. Doug/Sgtmaj - and retired Marine Sgt Maj. did his normal best. Rich Martin, also a Marine was RC and together they did an outstanding job, as always!

I kinda cheated, a lot of folks went over to meet them at I 5 and 152, I called Gary Ragsdale and asked what the progress was, and he gave me an ETA at the overpass of Bailey and 101 and I got there about 15 min before they came by.

And here they come! This was my last shot before I "scooted" to catch up, I think I got the line, but might have missed some of the cages in the back.

The ride down 101 to San Bruno was a little busy as it was Saturday and folks were traveling. The convoy was quite long, it stretched over 1/2 mile, so lane migration had to be done with caution and most folks were tolerant of our convoy and moved out of our line. I had actually pulled up behind my VROC buddy Don Bonnett and we became the tail gunners.

The fire trucks did a ladder and flag display, very nice!

The folks were all headed inside the auditorium.

Craig Roberts stowing his gear... I saw many old faces today! Very nice!

Here is a "new" old face, Mike Score. I swapped notes with him on the VROC (Vulcan Riders and Owners Club - a Kawasaki thing) news group. His son was on the bus, and he was so very rightfully stoked! He rode all the way with his son! Good on Ya Dad!!! And he got and earned the right to ride up front!

I caught Chappi, Doug/Sgtmaj and Kimo in action...

Don Newton, a fellow ALR Dist 13 rider and good friend and leader of many PGR rides...

My good friend and fellow ALR Dist 13 rider Gary Ragsdale and wife Sandy chatting. I called him for the look ahead! Thanks!!!!

An overhead try of the inside of the auditorium.....

...turn left and shoot again....

Looking out on the parking lot from the auditorium...

As tail gunner, I followed these flags all the way! He did a lot of work to make them stay in place during the ride!

Here are the ladies smiling it up with a young 'un! GBG

Another shot... GBG

Here is Mike Score's daughter, wife and son with the signs they want to show Kyle!

God Bless them all! May they ALL come home safely and soon! A very great day and thanks for inviting PGR to share the moment!
