PGR - USMC Peter E Thompson Vietnam Veteran

Pics are from top to bottom, click on a pic for a larger pic then click again, text for a pic is under the pic.

PGR was asked to ride an honor mission and it was a successful one. The weather was great, the turnout was great and the family was glad to see us there and all the flags. God Bless and Healing Prayers for those left behind during this time of passing.

So I was worried about the turnout and made sure to be there. Well my fears were unfounded.

Best I could do a final count at the service was around 20 scoots and 2 cages.

No one stepped up for the Ride Captain position so Rich M took over. Thank you my friend for what you do and you do it great! It was special as Rich is a Marine also.

Bob (Wiserguy) Dalton headed this way, I know his brother Dan, and met their sister on a ride. Dan (Garlic Indian) and I both worked and retired from IBM. Bob is a Asst. State Captain, and thank you for what you do!

Nice shot of the scoots and all the flags. It really is an impressive sight. It just makes you feel good to see them.

Staging for the service.

The rest of the flags. The gentleman walking the line I think is family. Sorry I don't know but that was my feeling. God Bless and Healing Prayers for you.

The scoot in front was a member of the service and parked with us. There were also two more at the end. Thank you for joining our line.

No burial, just an escort back to the home for a reception. An uneventful trip, as much so as can be on 880.

While there we had some pictures taken of the group and family, and I thank them for taking a picture with us!

And one just came in!!! A great one! I actually got in a picture, holding my flag! Many thanks to Bob (Wiserguy) Dalton!!! Much appreciated!

Your mission was a success and an Honor! My Father would have been so touched that you Supported his family and his dedication to the Veterans. I am deeply touched that you escorted us home with my Father's Remains. Looking out the back window of the Limo was a site that made me proud of the service that my dad was part of and that all of you sacrificed your lives for.

Thank you,

Renee Price

Pete was honored Saturday the way that he, and ALL veterans, should be honored. I was so happy to have the PGR as a part of his memorial service, and know that he was watching and was pleased. Thank you for all the riders from Saturday who honored my husband, and all the riders across the country that do this to honor our veterans. You are a perfect example of why this is the greatest country in the world. God bless America and each and every one of you. Thank you!!

Yes, that gentleman walking the line is a family member and it was a privilege to thank each of you individually on the family’s behalf. It makes us all proud, that there are still Americans that are willing to volunteer a portion of their life to honor our veterans.
Thank you,
