PGR - Veteran Walter Leroy Welker SJVNC

Pics are from top to bottom, click on a pic for a larger pic, text for a pic is under the pic.

One of our veterans passed and PGR was asked to form a flag line at SJVNC at Gustine, Ca. Our RC Brada Panak volunteered to do the honors and it was an honor for us to attend, I thank Walter's family for inviting us.

The weather was great, always appreciated and we had about 20 scoots. Two of them stopped by for gas on a trip from Lake Havasu, Az and are from Washington.

The two riders that happened by were the chopper rider from Hawaii, Clayton and the other is from Guam, sorry, didn't get the name...
.. Thank you both for joining us!

Nice turnout and I thank all that rode! We had attendance from
PGR, ALR Salinas, and Santa Clara, American Legion, Hogs and V-Star 209.
----------------------------------------------------
A late update, I finally rec'd a pic from Leona, daughter, with all the guys and her plus some nice looking scoots! Thank you! (Click on the pic TWICE to see it in full size!)

That chopper was a knock out! Great pic!
------------ end of update ----------------------

We met at the Shell / Jack in the Box at 33 / 5, folks were inside having a drink and lunch. We don't normally get lunch, this was a treat!

Visiting before briefing.

Brada Panak our RC was giving me the Vulcan sign, we both ride Kawasaki Vulcan's, OK it was probably a Victory sign for the great turnout! GBG

After break, gettin' back to the scoots for our upcoming briefing.. Like I said, I think we had almost 20 scoots after they all arrived, including our passer by's!

This is Clayton's chopper, they just happened to stop and started talking to us. They've ridden a few PGR rides in WA.

The intent was to escort the family into SJVNC so we staged just inside the gate, Panak went up to see how the services were going, and the family had already arrived, so on and up to the staging site we went.

At the staging site.

Here is a better shot of the chopper, that rear tire is a big one! GBG It was a great turnout and again, thank all of you that rode.

May He comfort families of fallen heroes in knowing your loved one is in a better place. God Bless.

I want to again thank you for coming to honor my Dad, my hero. I wish I had enough words to express my thank you for how you treated him but also myself. I have some pictures that my aunt is getting if you would like them including the picture with myself. I know my dad looked down upon his service and smiled knowing that he was remembered.
