PGR Marine Pvt George Apostol, and his mother.

Pics are from top to bottom, click on a pic for a larger pic, text for a pic is under a pic..

PGR was invited to escort Pvt Apostol and his mom for services and grave site honors. As his DD 214 was not found in time for formal military honors , PGR members stood in for the 21 gun salute, honor guard and flag folding. It was an honor to be there and they were outstanding in their mission! God Bless and thank you for doing what you do!

We had 50 bikes and a great service! Thanks to all that rode.

I'm just shooting some shots... bikes and folks...

Craig is our Ride Captain and he is doing his say once, listen up!

If you look in the center, the Piper was ready to play....

I don't take pics of the service or the fallen, this was a pic of the flag folding. Spike and Piper did the honors, and they did an outstandeing job! Thank You!

Healing Prayers to family and friends during this time of passing. To loose two of your own at once is a real hurt. God Bless!

PGR - SP4 James Payton

Pics are from top to bottom, text for a pic is under the pic, click on a pic for a larger pic..

PGR was asked to provide escort from Livermore to Dixon National Cemetery.

We had a good showing, 18 scoots and 3 cages... if memory serves me correct, and that's pretty iffy! GBG

New York Dave showed up! He's getting a patch made up that says "now on titanium"! He looked good, was walking and he and his wife sounded upbeat! Good on Ya! A little roll on the road will not keep a good person down!

Some of the members, I'm not going to try names... it's an age thing... sigh

Some of the scoots... PGR was asked to do pall bearer duties and 6 Army stood tall...

Staging at Dixon...

Another shot...

We had enough riders to circle the gazebo, that doesn't happen often. Off to my left...

Off to my right.... I don't take pics of the service...

Afterward, the family walked the flag line and shook our hands, real fine of them!

God Bless the family and friends during this time of passing.....

Here we are at the lunch table!! GBG They had a ton of food.. I was talking to Slick John.. and he looked at a big jug of juice.. (it's called Sangria...) He took some and asked me if I wanted some... I said nooooooo... He took one taste and shook his head! I told him before... that stuff was potent!!! He didn't believe me!! When I smelled it.. geez, I knew.. He shook his head and said (best I can remember...) !)$! #*%%)$*!_ that stuff is strong! GBG It packed one heckofa a punch..

Afterwards, I asked him... why didn't you think I wouldn't take a sip? I sniffed it... whooooooo! Good stuff! But I'd want to be home first!

Great ride! Thanks for the invite and may Dave ask us for a welcome home ride when he comes back! God Bless you my friend! Thank all that ride also!

ALR PGR GGNC Memorial Day Fag Placing by Boy Scouts

Pics are from top to bottom, what little text is under the pic, click on a pic for a larger pic...

Don N. called an interesting mission.. simple enough... go ride our scoots around GGNC - Golden Gate National Cemetery... Now that's simple, right?

Well I've not been there before on Memorial Day... so I thought there would be a few folks putting out flags.. I didn't want to do the staging as I don't like early hours... So I went direct and got there about 0945 and I thought everyone else would get there at 1000.

There were cars all thru the cemetery, yes it was visiting day for the fallen heroes, why that didn't sink in to me I don't know... But I got inside the gate and need a pause...

Well a lady working the event said all your bikers went that'a'way... pointing out to the right.. I was surprised that they would be that far off schedule, but with advancing age... well... I just accept things now! GBG

I went after them... nice and slow.. got a lot of waves, as I had my flag flying high, see below.. and had a nice tour.. went back up to the front, and there were a line of bikes. Great, now all I have to do is find my buds...

Don Newton walks up and says "we're over there" I followed the HOG group around and the lady thought I was one of them.. So I fired up Goldie and our group made another tour, noise, hand slapping, HI 5's, a great time.

But I gotta tell Ya, 15 miles south of GGNC, the weather took a nasty turn for BAD! The fog built up on my shield and rolled off into my face.. rain.. and the temps went south.. but hey, great cause and good to be there!

We had 5 ALR Dist 13 members there! That is a great thing! Don of course, Jake, Slick John, Audie, the Cranky dude! Panak and wife and there was one more, sorry can't remember the name... Jake was carrying another ALR from Dist 10, so we had 6.

This is after my "pause"... You can see Goldie's flag in the background. Sky is low, cloudy!

I just took a few scan shots...

Flags everywhere, the top of the hill flag 1/2 mast is always a respectful gaze...

After my second trip with our group, some pics

Audie talking to one of the organizers... Fine trip, the Boy Scouts were a fine bunch and we got a lot of waves and hi fives! I think they enjoyed our riding and making some noise! God Bless 'um all!
